you beat me to it!
lineup for tonight:
SS Aybar
2B Izturis
LF Abreu
RF Hunter
DH Matsui
3B Callaspo
1B Kendrick
C Napoli
CF Bourjos
way to go, Scioscia! we have faith in you!
Thank you, Nick Adenhart. You will always be remembered. #34
You would have had to think he would have been approached about it
Interesting, Hula Dula moves to RF and Abreu to LF. Rivera can have a seat next to rotten Wood.

Torii is in favor.
Front page article on it.

So surprised,
but glad that Sosh made this happen. This is what is best for the team. I can imagine Torii putting up a serious fight. His ego took a mighty hit today.
So is moving Torii to right instead of left
A sign that the Angels will be pursuing Carl Crawford to play left next year while Abreu could move to DH?
Torii Hunter has some Brain Movage
Yeah that could be it
But the fan in me wants any type of confirmation that we might go after Crawford!

YEAHH!!
I don’t know about you guys, but even if we tank for the rest of the season, I am overly excited to finally see this kid play! Whether or not he is the spark that ignites some magical attitude in the lackadaisical Haloball we’ve been playing, it’s great to see some homegrown (new) product get a chance to show what he’s got.
Let’s see some heart, kid!

Holy crap, that is phenomenal news
This probably means he’ll be a regular, not a platooner, since I don’t think Sosh would yo-yo w/ Torii & Abroo out there. Hideki Matsui is so on waivers right now.
Half this team should be on waivers

FUCK
I was going to go to tonight’s game in Baltimore but the person i was going to go with decided she would rather make a date of it with her bf instead. i was the one who brought up going last week.
i was excited i was going to see this guy’s debut and i was going to make a sign “Halo to the majors Bourjos” (hehe silly play on words) AND i was going to put the logo of HH on it as well.
Our own RallyMonkey5 (Sean "CHONE" Smith) should be there for some of the series
Look forward to his report!

however
i don’t want to go to a game by myself – i’d rather go with someone else even if they are rooting for the other team (as the above case would attest to).
This changes everything
we go from having a below-average outfield to an above-average one overnight.
I took your stash.

One possible downside
Sosh is selling this as an upgrade on offense, weirdo that he is, so there’s a chance that this might put more pressure on Bourjos than we’d like, and also more pressure on Sosh to yank him if he starts out hitting .220, which is altogether likely.
Isn't anybody worried about Torii and Bobby's lack of familiarity with these new positions?
You’ll recall they tried to put Abreu in left field during Spring training in ’09. That was abandoned very quickly.
If they stick with this setup, it might be very bumpy before it gets appreciably better.

I wonder who good Peter's bunting is
with his speed, that woud be a great weapon—particularly as he tries to hit against major league pitching this early in his career
