Scioscia to appear on Simpsons (again)
I saw Mike Scioscia's name in a list of people who are going to appear on the new season of The Simpsons (the season beings in September). Very cool.
For those who don't already know, Scioscia's been on the Simpsons before -- 18 years ago! Homer at the Bat is still one of my favorite episodes of all time.
Any other Simpsons fans here excited about this?

I don't care about the Simpsons any more, that's for certain
But am I happy to hear this – oh, yes, sir!
That is to say, I’m happy about the idea of Scioscia appearing on the Simpsons in general, if he is appearing as he is today, not if he’s merely going to deliver the next line in the routine involving his tragic illness.

Sabermetrics geek Bill James is going to guest star too
All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.
Very cool

yeah...kind of shocking that it started in 89
Still love it though. It’s sort of become a bit tired after all this time, but it’s almost like an institution for the entire millennial generation
What is shocking is that their worst episodes after 21 years
…are still better than many sitcoms fresh out of the factory.
Most shows run out of ideas before the 7 year contracts are up. The Simpsons might not be strong as it was a decade ago, but it still has moments to laugh at.
"I can't tell people what to think or not to think. Their perceptions are their perceptions. We just feel we've taken a step forward. At the end of the day, we have to play 162 games. Once that happens then we'll be able to evaluate the offseason moves."~Tony Reagins, on the Angels' offseason
I don't understand a word he's sayin.'
I wish I was home right now with a big bag of potato chips. Mmm… potato chips.

agreed
that is one of the best episodes all time. the signs Mr. Burns gives from 3rd base still cracks me up to this day.
I too have stopped watching the Simpsons, but I think its more due to the fact that I used to watch them 3 times every night when all I had was bunny ears. it was the best option at 6, 7:30 and 11.
I'm 25 and I watch an episode of the Simpsons everyday when I work out
It’s a comfort thing, I get into a routine and the time flies quicker. Homer At Bat is still one of my top 5 favorite episodes.
We betrayed Vlad, the greatest Angel. Epic fail.
