SLC Bees 1.5 games behind Tacoma for PCL North pennant
With four games remaining before this season's end, the Bees pulled within 1.5 games of the league-leading Tacoma Rainiers with a 3-1 win over the Fresno Grizzlies Thursday while the Rainiers lost 3-1 to the Colorado Springs Sky Sox......Good for our guys....Matt Palmer and Bobby Casseveh, along with Kevin Frandsen and Alexi Amarista, shone in the Bees' win over the Grizzlies. Tyler Chatwood, yesterday called up from AA Arkansas, watched from the bench hoping for a call to contribute.
The Bees have won their last four games while trying to catch their PCL rival Tacoma Rainiers. The Bees begin a season-ending four-game series against the Reno Aces Friday; the Rainiers finish their season with four games against the slighty more lowly Las Vegas 51s Grizzlies.

If the Bees make the playoffs
it delays possible callups to the Angels. This means our 3rd place big squad gets no rest. Wear ’em out Mike! Go Bees!

Instead of this second-rate major-league crap? We’re only a third of the way into it, but 18 consecutive games against the A’s, Mariners, Indians, and Orioles is already too much inadequacy to bear.

Was at the win last night
Palmer pitched 6 good innings and allowed the only run to score on a weak chopper that didn’t even get out of the infield. He got a taste of what it would be like to be Jered Weaver this season. The offense didn’t score its second and third runs until he was out of the game. However, he was pretty dominant last night. There was only one decent hit off of him. The rest were just cheapies.
With one more homer, Trumbo will break the SL Bees record for homers in a season.
