During the pregame show today (9/29), Mike Scioscia was asked about players who are having "career years" and about "how different the team will look when we come to spring training next year."

Sosh commented on several players but here is what he said about Napoli:  "We had some guys that really, I think, moved up and showed that they could...obviously Mike Napoli on the power side showed with at-bats he could drive the ball, drive it out of the park frequently."

I don't know if he was fattening the turkey for the slaughter, but taken on face value Sosh's remarks give me some new-found optimism for seeing Napoli on the team next year.
