Not A Fair Weather Fan... But...

I've been an Angels fan for the entirety of my life, from when I went to spring training games in Palm Springs, where I grew up, to taking my young sons to the camp in AZ... I've had tickets, bought suites for games, the whole freaking deal... and I'm done, completely done, with the idiotic nature of the Halo's front office. Now I understand that Scioscia had some issues with Napoli... maybe he looked too much like Mike to Mike, but, either way, someone has to get the idiot patrol that is Tony Reagins under control and keep he and Moreno from totally destroying the team, or, maybe Scioscia is just jockeying for the "best manager" title in MLB history... he deserves it if this team finishes 1 game over .500 in the 2011 season... this may be the WORST Halo team EVER, and yeah, I'm including the ones that wore that stupid periwinkle blue pinstripe clown costume of a uniform.

Not even close to being the worst halo team ever.

This team MIGHT win the west in 2011.

The anger at the FO stems at how LITTLE of an improvement they got (zero?) in exchange for 2 players and the inheritance of the second highest contract in all of baseball for 2011.

This was a salary dump by the Jays, and Tony Reagins (aka sosh, aka arte) got swindled out of two players who could have been packaged together for a more lucrative trade.

What do you need a fancy suit for, Charlie, you ain't got no job to wear it to.

Plenty of very strong contenders for Worst Angels Team Evah!

I’m not sure this 2011 edition would even be seeded.

Certainly a contender for stupidest front office move ever, but even that has some competition packing heavy weaponry.

I think there might be an argument for this being the Worst Team Ever

If for no other reason than their mediocrity will cost so damn much. Sure there have been plenty of bad Angels teams over the years, but they didn’t come with an AL East payroll. It’s looking like roughly 150 million for what could easily be a third place finish. Of course they could also win the west, so who can say? Frankly I’d rather have finished in 3rd with what we had than win the west paying a chump like Vernon Wells 23 million bucks, but that’s just me. I’m almost wishing baseball would implement a salary cap at this point. Not for any reasons of fairness to the smaller market teams or any of that hogwash, but to protect our GM and Owner from their own stupidity.
