I was thinking about it a lot today and Grady Sizemore strikes me as the perfect fit.
He can play left field (GG in CF speaks for itself).
He can hit lead-off (career .363 OBP and averages 81 walks per 162 games).
He's got speed (stole 30+ bases consistently when healthy).
He hits left-handed and has power (we don't really have a left-handed power threat outside of K-Mo and maybe Abreu although he isn't really a power hitter anymore).
He is presumably available (the Injuns suck and are in full rebuild mode).
He is presumably available at a discounted price (down-seasons the last 2 years due to injury).
When healthy, this guy is a dynamic player and can be a MUCH CHEAPER alternative to Carl Crawford. And maybe playing for the Angels will rejuvenate him a bit since he'd be on a contender.
So what do you guys think? Is this a good and/or realistic idea or am I just crazy?
