Shaking my Very Foundation As An Angel Fan
The stupidity of allowing Reagins to control this organization (whether solely or with Scioscia's input) for 4 years is shaking my very foundation as an Angel fan. The more I learn about the Napoli/Wells deal, the more it sickens me to a point beyond just disappointment. Reagins body of work is just terrible and has weakened this organization perhaps beyond immediate repair. I question how Arte (a good businessman) could have overlooked mistake after mistake and allowed this to continue year after year; and why it took an absolute unmitigated disaster to finally lead to Reagins forced resignation. I sure hope Arte learned his lesson. We will see with the next GM hiring.

Reagins resigned
why are we still rehashing his crap? He sucked. We know. Get past it and let’s move on.
Thank you, Nick Adenhart. You will always be remembered. #34
I don't think we'll be able to get past it until a new GM is named.
We’re not out of the Woods yet. The guy who hired Reagins is the guy who is hiring the next guy. We’ll see if he learned anything soon.
Vernon Wells 2011 Stats (.218/.248/.412) and 2010 road stats (.224/.299/.400). The front office shouldn't have been surprised.
That is exactly my point
Until I see who is hired – I’m not sure I trust this Arte or this Organization to make a reasoned, meaningful and skilled choice.

What;s Tiger Woods got to do with it?
Is there a woman with a golf club chasing Arte down the street?
Getting up, dusting yourself off,
and coming in with a fanpost. The exclamation point of this terrible deal was put in place by Napoli hitting bombs while Mathis sputtered to a hefty .174 average and in our own yard.
CONGER, CONGER, CONGER !!!
In retrospect, this was a brutal year
Things got rubbed in our face about as much as is possible.

And it keeps going each time
Napoli gets a hit, or throws a runner out, or blocks the plate ….

That was the internet equivalent of talking to yourself.
It was a bad ending to the season, but there were plenty of highlights too. The wells deal sucked for sure, but reagins lost his job for it and we got to see trout. Morales not coming back was depressing, but trumbo was fun to watch.
Just do what the fans of 25 other teams are doing and look to next year.

Don’t have to keep watching Napoli do his impression of Babe Ruth.

I wonder if they lament the Callaspo for O'Sullivan trade as much as we do the Wells-Napoli deal?
I know the answer
I love this team.

The day Reagins was forced out is the most optimistic about the team I've been about the team in two years.
I hope that optimism continues after the GM is named.

Take your own advice
When it comes to responding. It seems like this site is full of people whose favorite thing is telling others what they should and should not do with regard to posting. My guess is you are either hen-pecked husbands or very bitter about life. Either way – I’m more interested in your opinions than your self created ’’rules" of engagement.
by KnockingonHeavensDoor on Oct 14, 2011 9:24 AM PDT up reply actions
Then go back
and read those opinions. Have discussions within already existing threads. I think daily about what a mess Reagins has made of this team, but I understand that everyone here is already well aware of that fact so there is no need to senselessly post about it.
Stop being so intent on stirring the conversation in your direction and soak in all the great content that is offered around this site. This is not like calling into Halotalk and venting about the team. Our standards for content here are high and the members aren’t afraid to keep it that way. Your passion for the team is unquestioned but you really should channel it into some thoughtful posts.

If Tony Reagins being the GM of the Angels for a few years is the worst thing that ever happens to you then you will have led a charmed life. In the meantime, work a little harder to gain some perspective, OK?

Best you re-read the post you plotzed on this site.

George is in Coach Reagins mode again.
Patrolling the threads with his cartoon monster cock, sending out radar for signs of withering masculinity, and laying waste to the girlie-men with his emasculating rhetorical tropes.
Which, to be fair, is at least as predictable on this site as duplicative, ill-formatted posts that suggest tent-folding while piling pointlessly onto a collectivity of sorrow.

And haha, I blew it with that reference.
Logorrhoea rooked me.
Coach Taylor mode, that is — god forbid there’s ever a Coach Reagins.
You don't think he'd be a great coach?

Looks like a great coach to me.
