Trout is doing better than golden boy Harper at least
and Segura is doing well

If you didn't know by now, my screen name is sarcastic
I don't know -- 11ks against no walks.
Trout be tired, mayhaps?

Good thing Mickey Hatcher changed his stance and lowered his swing.
I hope the new GM has a brain and a backbone. If not, we should trade Trout and Conger for pitching. We don’t seem to F up pitchers.
Vernon Wells 2011 Stats (.218/.248/.412) and 2010 road stats (.224/.299/.400). The front office shouldn't have been surprised.
give me proof of this....
I think your lying.

Proof.
Don’t you read Lyle Spencer’s magical words?
When he found he was struggling with pitches in the lower reaches of the strike zone during his first visit to the big time, Trout adapted. He lowered his stance and began to feel more comfortable taking his hacks at sinkers down in the zone.
“He’s been really impressive,” Angels center fielder Peter Bourjos said. “He and Mickey [Hatcher, hitting coach] worked on his stance, and it’s paid off. He went down and hit a couple of balls that weren’t even strikes.”
That article is dated 8/31/11. Mike Trout went on to hit .182/.250/.236 in September and October.

"Trout adapted"
Just like Wood adapted.

No walks!
A Trout failure in the Major Leagues would be the last straw and should result in the immediate firing of Mickey Hatcher with Scioscia on the chopping block.
It has been only seven games though so let’s hope he comes around.
let's hope he's batting left-handed...
seriously he’s probably working on something specifically that is flawed. i remember hearing a story about a player who had horrible plate discipline and his big league team instructed him to not swing until he got two strikes on him. this made him more disciplined and he became great at protecting the plate and turned his career around.
Trout has a career .422 OBP in the Minors
Maybe Sosh wants Trout to practice hitting the opposite way.
Horrible base-clogger.

Hatcher "Hack First" Syndrom
seriously though everyone who scouted him loved his pitch recognition skills and discipline. More likely that it’s a case of a kid swinging at stuff he wouldn’t normally because he’s trying too hard to impress.
You're so silly. Did you ever play the game??
That first fastball you see might be the best pitch you see the entire at bat!! You can’t go up there looking to walk. Besides, walks are a fake stat, everybody whose played the game knows that.
(all sarcasm – I’m worried too…)

I'm going to AZ
to watch him play this Monday and Tuesday. I’ll send the Rev any info on Trout and pictures I get from the games. Looking forward to watching LIVE baseball again.. even if there are only about 100 people in the stands for the games!!!
(Gotta love COMPS for Talking Stick Resort, cause otherwise, I wouldn’t be going!! I KNEW there was a reason I went to the casino during spring training!!!)
Your first assignment as our new GM?

No worries
I’d like to see him do well. He probably is a bit worn out, though.
Shit - chill everyone
It’s just the freaking fall league. What Trout did in the majors means a helluva lot more than what occurs on the “Scottsdale Scorpions”.
From Jeff Mathis' TOPPS card: "Jeff is a defensive catcher, but he can rake it when it counts." Jeff has a lifetime .199 MLB batting average

If the Halos don't care about the way they play, then why should I?
Andy Taylor is having his problems.
Time to call in the troups. Where’s Barney, Opie, Gomer, and Floyd when you need them?
They're at Aunt Bea's having pie.
