Rangers rally for 2 in the 9th... World Series tied
It was a pretty tense night... but the Rangers pull thru.
The Rangers manage to score 2 in the 9th after hitting Deja Vu with Craig getting a run off of Ogando...2-1 was the final score.
The series is tied at 1 a piece... off to Texas!

what I learned tonight:
according to tony la russa, nobody on the cardinals bench can run the bases faster than fat fuck gerald laird.
nobody.
What do you need a fancy suit for, Charlie, you ain't got no job to wear it to.
he was fast
in high school
from junio college until now, he obviously has only been eating ice cream with melted butter for a topping
Somewhere, right now, Mickey Hatcher is ruining a swing.

When Laird played for the Rangers
he was fast – for a catcher. He was not fast for a baseball player. I doubt he has gotten any faster the past several years.

I know it's knotted up at 1 a piece...
But I could see Tejas taking the next 3 games. And it isn’t a comforting thought. And why the hell was Gerald Laird pinch running for Yadier Molina? Tony LaRussa must’ve been drunk.

Laird could have been Jesse Owens
It didn’t matter. That Punto at bat made Mathis look like Babe Ruth and the grown man who goes by the name of Skip did another beautiful job of swinging at pitches 8 feet outside of the strike zone. Good God St. Louis, that was pure dogshit. Why was Molina the only one who understood that Feliz couldn’t throw a strike for shit?

this seemed familiar
a bloop single
a stolen base
a quasi error
a sac fly
“iffy” closer
“iffy” managing
“iffy” 9th inning of offense, to cap of shitty offense all night
I like these cardingels

a line drive base hit should be in there before the error.

Teams put their foot on Texas' throat
and then take it off.
Thanks Rays and Cardinals.

Funny though
in the new age of the pitcher, two teams make it to the World Series built on mediocre rotations…and then suddenly start pitching well.

hard to call a team who had the 5th best ERA in the AL mediocre.
The Angels had a great pitching staff, but you have to look at everything as well as numbers. You fans always make the excuse why our hitters have great numbers because of the ballpark and rightfully so. Also you have to acknowledge our pitchers pitch in that smae ballpark for 81 games. The Angels on the other hand pitch in a pitchers park 81 games. So calling Texas’ staff mediocre is a stretch imo.

13th out of 30
I think is the definition of mediocre. Or can we use the word average?
It was hardly a big shot at you, either way. Pretty fucking defensive for a guy 3 games away from the world series. Or must you not to be totally satisfied with winning it all if someone else in the world gives one aspect of your team a modest poo-pooing?

That stolen base
It’s hard for an infielder to do because it takes a ton of patience and discipline, but if Furcal had kept his glove on the base and waited for Yadier’s bullet to come to him, instead of reaching forward and then sweeping the glove back, Kinsler would have been gone.

Like in the first inning of the first game.
I agree. I need to let Furcal know his check is in the mail.
