MORE BASEBALL. CARDINALS WIN IN EXTRAS
Game 7 tomorrow. See you then! Great game nonetheless! Cardinals win in 11 innings. 10 - 9. Lets take a look back at this epic game. 5 errors. Lead changes featured in practically every inning. Runs scored in all innings but the 3rd (And yes, we went 11 innings). 28 total hits. 19 total runs.
Cardinals put on the brink TWICE. And that brink being their FINAL STRIKE? Cardinals also out of position players to bat? Look at those substitutions on the STL side. Scoring the game must've been a pain. Speechless I say. Only thing I can say? So glad I'm not a fan of either team. Celebrate for baseball. Because this was a win for everyone!
... Well, mostly everyone. Let's do this again tomorrow. We crown a winner in the deciding Game 7.

'02 was great, but objectively this was way better.

Why?
Do you find errors exciting?
The Angels’ comeback in 2002 was the largest comeback in World Series history. There’s some objectivity for you.
You boys stick around--there'll be turkey and ice cream later!
I think a better way would be...
They overcame the largest deficit of a team facing elimination in the world series.

True
I enjoyed ‘02 more for sure, but Stl scored twice down to their last strike and tied the game. You rarely get that in a series let alone in one game. I think that is the pinnacle of any sporting event, the last second comeback. Now they didn’t comeback from 4 runs down, but they did from 2 twice, and in a pretty timely fashion.

What a game what a game!!!
Even apart from the massive fail for Texas, which was reason to celebrate in itself, this was a great game to watch. So glad I stayed up for it.

Epic..
2002 was better, from an angels perspective.. but if the angels did this shit tonight, against a NL team to push 6, I would choose this.
What do you need a fancy suit for, Charlie, you ain't got no job to wear it to.
also, game 6 in 2002 lead to a game 7 victory...
this will be all for naught if St. Louis tanks it tomorrow.

If it's bad for Fox to omit the Angels, how bad is it when the LA Times does it??
There is a list today in the LA Times of “the most memorable Game 6’s in World Series history.”
The list includes last night; the Orioles and Pirates in 1971; the Red Sox and Reds in 1975; the Royals and Cardinals in 1985; the Mets and Red Sox in 1986; the Twins and Braves in 1991; and the Blue Jays and Phillies in 1993. Nice local coverage.
That's all you need to know about the LA Times' baseball coverage
They’ve been too busy licking Lasorda’s jock since 1988.

Napoli's 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th homers of the year (four more than Jeff Mathis' career total) rained down on Angel Stadium like knives from the ceiling.
That is a bonus.
Holliday went out of his way to screw that game up.

I woke up and watched the condensed game as live on mlb.tv
what a ridiculous game.
Five innings of painfully horrible defense, followed by six innings of incomprehensible lows then highs.
If I see one more shot of that cokehead Washington clapping, I’m going to put a fist through my monitor.
| mumble ¦ mumble ¦ Mathis ¦ mumble ¦ mumble ¦ Hatcher ¦ mumble |
Incredible game!
Amazing especially considering how awful and poorly played it was from a defensive standpoint. Yet, this goes down as an instant classic in my book: it featured some sloppy play and errors, mixed in with some oddities that you never see (running out of bench players, pinch hitting pitchers, etc).
A big “thank you” to Elvis Andrus and Nelson Cruz for kicking it into cruise control on defense in the 9th. How Cruz lets a fly ball with 2 outs in the 9th get over his head is beyond me.
Also: thank you Ron Washington for deciding against a R/R matchup with Pujols and giving Berkman and his hot bat a shot to win the game. Do this shit again tonight, plz!
