Mark Lowe Came to Texas in the Cliff Lee Deal
The gift that keeps on giving.
From the Hardball Times back in the day...
On July 10, 2010 the Texas Rangers traded prospects Justin Smoak, Blake Beavan, Josh Lueke and Matthew Lawson to the Seattle Mariners for ace left-hander Cliff Lee and reliever Mark Lowe. Also changing hands in the deal is $2.25 million Seattle will send to Texas to off-set the remaining $4.2M owed to Lee.
On Thursday night it was the leftover frosting on that Clff Lee cake Mark Lowe that surrendered that walkoff HR in the bottom of the 11th inning.

Nice call
I never would have realized that or even considered it.
That’s the type of knowledge you only get on HH.
So in the last two years
the Rangers have traded away:
Justin Smoak, Blake Beavan, Josh Lueke, Matthew Lawson, Chris Davis,Tommy Hunter, Joseph Weiland, and Robert Erlin.
In return, they’ve received Cliff Lee (for two months, now gone), Mike Adams (who gave up the inherited runner in game 6, and a run in game 7), Koji Uehara (who gave up 5 runs in 1.1 IP in the playoffs and was kept off the W.S. roster), and Mark Lowe (who gave up the walk-off homer in game 6).
It’s nice to watch this all bite the Rangers in the ass in the present, but at what point does this start to cost them in the future, too?
A wise man once said "never postpone to tomorrow what can be done the day after tomorrow. Except DFAing Mathis. Do that shit now, plz."

I still would have rather been down to Uehara than Lowe
But that’s just my opinion.
More Howie please...
