Cardinals Win the World Series!

ST LOUIS, MO - OCTOBER 28: Lance Berkman #12 of the St. Louis Cardinals holds up the World Series trophy after defeating the Texas Rangers 6-2 in Game Seven of the MLB World Series at Busch Stadium on October 28, 2011 in St Louis, Missouri. (Photo by Ezra Shaw/Getty Images)

Yup. You just can't recover from a Game 6 like that can you.

The Rangers did take an early lead in the 1st... but that was wiped away instantly in the bottom of the 1st...and then the dominoes just fell.

Cardinals win today 6-2... giving them the World Series crown.

Congrats to them for sure.

They gave up with yesterday's loss...

"We all knew we lost this series yesterday"

Did he really say that?

If so, I’m glad Arte didn’t overpay for that quirky piece of mierda!

I wish we would have got them.

Yesterday was a crushing blow to them. It would break a lot of people. I for one wish Beltre came to Anaheim and Napoli was still an Angel. Than maybe we are in the World Series. I would still would have taken him knowing this.

I really doubt that he means

“Well, we lost yesterday, so we just didn’t try today.” Game 7 won’t be the game people remember ten years from now.

I'd rather have neither of those choices.

Baseball is filled with complete assholes, if we got rid of everyone who has said or done stupid things, then there wouldn’t be anyone on the field, or anybody watching them.

The cost of Ian Kinsler yelling at us to "Get the f*ck off their field", in hindsight, hilarious.

Josh Hamilton saying that god told him, that he would hit a HR, in a game they would later lose, pretty friggin’ hilarious.

I felt bad for Texas.

Just how much agony that must have caused the fans. Then I remembered them saying how they wanted to stomp on Sosh’s face with a golf shoe, how they wanted Mark Trumbo to die and how CJ Wilson > Weaver. I also remembered Kinsler telling the Halos to get the fuck off his field, Hamilton giggling about how he wants another Angel next year and CJ Wilson trying to make some sort of joke that connected Scioscia, Napoli and their heritage. Then I also though…

LOL TEXAS! SUCK IT! (Except Big Tex. I like him.) See you next year, losers!

However, they were screwed on that walk to Molina. That was definitely strike 3. Still, CJ Wilson can’t blame the ump for plunking Furcal with his very first pitch. I wonder if his overall postseason will cost him some $$$ this offseason.
