Buddy of mine who's a die-hard STL fan says that's exactly why he's retiring.
Also, I think this leaves the Soth as dean of managers. Is there anyone with a longer single-team tenure now?
If the Halos don't care about the way they play, then why should I?
i actually looked that up on baseball-ref.
yes, Soth is the current, longest single team manager. However there are plenty of other current managers with more experience.

The race to hire Tito begins....
BTW – either Fielder or Pujols will end up on the Cubs.
From Jeff Mathis' TOPPS card: "Jeff is a defensive catcher, but he can rake it when it counts." Jeff has a lifetime .199 MLB batting average
I have a fear
That Texass is going to get one of them…

I don't care how much he's getting paid
I will not wish for Pujols to get added to that Texas team.

That would hurt them in like 5 years
But I’d rather they not get any.

he had a career .199 batting average
Maybe Mathis is our future manager in 20 yrs.
No prediction that Disarcina will be named manager?
Vernon Wells 2011 Stats (.218/.248/.412) and 2010 road stats (.224/.299/.400). The front office shouldn't have been surprised.
