Detroit moves on to ALCS! Yankees see early exit again!
Rejoice! The Yankees have fallen early once again in the playoffs.
The Tigers pulled off a nailbiter and won 3-2 to advance to the ALCS and face the Rangers!
Let's use this thread to rejoice. And for me to toil thru the pregame picks results.

They already have two ALCS appearances in a row
The Halos have never done that but hey, we got a title and they don’t… for now.
We also have 4 more ALCS appearences then they have.

That would have been great.
Too bad, though, that Bud Selig just announced the cancellation of the remaining postseason due the lack of a yankees or red sux presence.

Rec'd for the truth that shall remain not spoken
Of course, before the season began, it was supposed to be the bosux vs. phillies.
So, why did we even play the games?

Postgame crew
They don’t know ANY Tigers – all they talk about is the pitches that the Yankees missed.
in your Reagins report card...
did you mention that Fernando Rodney was signed while Jose Valverde was available?
I love this team.

(paraphrased)
“I know this isn’t the outcome yankee fans wanted…”
Hey f-holes, you know what?!!?
Maybe this is the outcome that some Tiger fans wanted!
Maybe this is the time to sing the praises of the winning team…
But what do you do instead?
You butt/cock slurp the yankee fans…

Disappointing
I was rooting for New York after Tampa got axed. So much for watching the postseason now.
See...it's bcuz people like you
That the 4 letter network say “oh, who wants to watch the playoffs without Yankees or Phillies in it?”
Love the game…just love it

Go Ron Roenicke!
I woke up in a great mood; I don't know what the hell happened.
Fuck the Tigers and the Rangers.
Hopefully the Brewers or Dbacks take it home!

Supposedly, the Rangers have trouble winning games in Detroit so I have heard.
Napoli's 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th homers of the year (four more than Jeff Mathis' career total) rained down on Angel Stadium like knives from the ceiling.
Lucky for them, they wont have to win any games in Detroit this series.

Rangers seem to play better on the road than at home
Problem? Rangers went 0 for 6 at Detroit this season.
Tigers in 6.
"Talent does what it can; genius does what it must." ~ Edward G. Bulwer-Lytton
Angels 2011 W-L record with the alternate red jersey: 17-12
642 win % vs 543 home/road
plus a 100/80 run differential home/road.
I’d say they were considerably better at home.
Unless you meant “they seem better” in the Lyle Spencer meaning of the phrase.
I love this team.

Sorta LS
Sorta not. So far this postseason and last postseason, Texas doesn’t seem to do well on their own field contrary to their successes during the regular season.
I’m wondering if their lack of success against (and in) Detroit during the reg. season will translate over to the postseason or will they continue to be road warriors.
I should also add that my statement above (in bold) should be during the postseason.

I wouldn't read too much into that.
It’s a small sample size and in the postseason, teams typically play some tough competition.

Rangers over Tigers in a convincing 5 games. Naps NOT MVP, buy comes damn close

Jorge Posada walked away from reporters in the locker room crying his eyes out.

The day after the Stinkees are eliminated
It’s like Christmas Day. My gifts are the NY tabloids and the callers on WFAN sports radio. Chin up Stinkees fans. Look on the bright side – KRod, uh I mean ARod still has six years left on his contract. See ya on the golf course.

So, there's the BRILLIANCE of the Wells deal:
“we only do four year deals!”
Wow, that’s shocking that the Yanks have A-Rod until 2017! Holy sheet. I haven’t paid much attention to the Yanks this year – isn’t A-Rod injured and that’s why he looks worse than Vernon Wells?
