Brewers win in 10, Cards throws a shutout to advance to NLCS
What a set of games today!
The Diamondbacks managed to tie up the game in the 9th with a safety squeeze?!
But fall short to the Brewers who got a walk-off single in the 10th giving a 3-2 final.
In the other game... all the Cardinals needed was a double followed by a triple in the first two ABs... and CGSO by Carpenter to let them advance over the Phillies 1-0.
Great Game 5s indeed.

Phillies lose Card game even with four aces.
Napoli's 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th homers of the year (four more than Jeff Mathis' career total) rained down on Angel Stadium like knives from the ceiling.

That's because the Red Birds
are straight flushed with confidence right now.

If you didn't know by now, my screen name is sarcastic
Cardinals didn't score on a solo homer
triple and a double.
And go Brewers!

Cards game
Was triple by Furcal, Double by Schumaker, first two batters of the game would score the only run Carpenter needed.
I noticed that.
The way it was phrased in the write-up, it sounds like Carpenter hit the home run. Now THAT would have been insane!

Hoping for the Hat Trick
First the Red Sox collapse to not make the playoffs.
Next the Yankees getting booted in the first round.
Now if the Tigers take care of the Rangers, I can really smile.
I would have smiled more if the Angels had gotten into the playoffs, but that didn’t happen, so gotta get my chuckles somehow.
I think it'd be neat if the cards went all the way
concidering how they got here in the first place

Brewers
They haven’t been there in, like, forever, and they’re named after the people who make beer. What else you need?

To clarify
The Brewers went to the World Series once, in 1982. They lost to the Cards. That’s the summit of their glory.

Brewers have Roenicke
That makes them Angel half-siblings. Gotta root for the Brew Crew
