Nothing more than idle speculation. But they were pretty down on the guy. I mean, he got benched midway through the season. I agree Naps & Rivera wouldn’t have been enough, but if the Halos had thrown in a middle infielder (Izturis would have fit nicely with a team that wound up with Jamey Carroll at 2B…or Segura, who was a better prospect a year ago than now), maybe something could have happened. Maybe. But, whatever.

I recall Matt Welch advocating for the team to make a move for Kemp…
