AM830 to rebroadcast a vintage Angels game today at 4pm. Not sure if they've done this before but it sounds like a neato idea.

Sounds like a great idea
Today will be the Halos first game ever.
The rest of the schedule will look like this

LINK to KLAA website info.
GameThreads anyone???
I am wrong.
I was remembering some other radio program that this Mac would only let me hear through iTunes. NPR? I dunno.
I have the radio station, but I can’t tell if they’re going to play the recording or not. They seem to be talking about football.
THIS… IS… ANAHEIM!!
Kind of a weak limeup
All-Star Games? What do you get, three hours of commentary for two Angels ABs and an inning pitched if you are lucky?
The Walking Man pops-up & the Big Klu comes through.
And the halo shines tonight
can somebody explain
why game 6 of ’02 is not on there?
…and I think I’ll pass on the ’95 tiebreaker
"id take 5th Dimention Wormhole Rivera over Wells any day of the week"

Gosh I am so excited at the chance to hear the great 1995 choke rebroadcast
What sick fuck thought this would be an appealing lineup of games?
Bet those Rangers fans are just dying to relive 2011’s game six. Not. And there you have it. A dipshit came up with this list. Someone tell me the name of the dipshit who is out of touch with what Angels fans want. Who goofed??? I’ve GOT to know.
my god... thats a game they are going to play...?
That had to be one of the darkest, bleakest spots in the franchise’s 50 year history. I was just ten years old at the time and remember crying in my living room. yuck… def don’t wont be tuning in to that one.
And they're playing the 1982 choke as well.
At least they’re not doing 1986.
If the Halos don't care about the way they play, then why should I?
Ahh glad a thread of this came up. Thought i might be the only one listening.
I wish they had the commercials from 1961 too.
"They have a convertable that drives the relief pitchers from the bullpen up to the mound"
Wow. Things have regressed I suppose. That or pitchers back then were really lazy. Imagine how big Sap-athia would be.
They should bring the convertible thing back.
I remember they did it in Kansas City when we went to A’s games.
Napoli's 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th homers of the year (four more than Jeff Mathis' career total) rained down on Angel Stadium like knives from the ceiling.
The ad for the first game is a little suspect
“Second baseman Ted Kluszewski”? The musclebound Big Klu playing second? Imagine Prince Fielder at shortstop … you get the picture.
I've been hoping to get a recording of this game for, like, ever
For fair use only, of course. And now I do! Sad that they edited out the commercials. I can tell you, however, that the game was sponsored by Falstaff Beer and Folgers Coffee (I may be forgetting one sponsor).
I was anticipating a lot of great games to come, but as you all have already pointed out, the rest of the selections pretty much suck except for the next one and a few others. Oh well, baby steps.
You boys stick around--there'll be turkey and ice cream later!
Wish I could have heard it
I live in Wisconsin, so I’m out of luck. But it would have been great to hear those old announcers again. The first ones were pretty lame, and Don Wells especially received a lot of (well deserved) derision and criticism. But it would be cool to hear his voice again.
For what it's worth
I liked Don Wells, and I think he did a great job in this game. Bob Kelley, on the other hand . . . well, he was a football announcer, not so much a baseball guy.

Haven't heard Don Wells' voice in 40+ years
so I might think differently if I heard him today. Maybe his greatest problem was that he was in the same radio market with Vin Scully, so the expectations were high.
