Apparently this Mike Trout guy is pretty good. Anyone hear of him before?

Jimenez and Cowart remarks are interesting.
I feel the anticipation for Jimenez, and question the production I’ve seen so far in the stats for Cowart.
And here we have the Eddie Bane problem spelled out
Recent heavy bets in the draft with tools guys like Grichuk, Clarke, and Ryan Bolden haven’t panned out, although Trout shows what happens when you hit on one of those wagers.
Drafting is almost always a crapshoot, but Bane seemed to love going for longshots with high risk/high reward. As we recall, Grichuk was drafted the player before Trout (though which was 1st or 2nd doesn’t really matter). In taking Grichuk, the Angels passed on opportunities to take players like Rex Brothers (who has rocketed through the Rockies’ organization), James Paxon and Brett Jackson, all of whom were college players and perhaps of less interest to Bane than the younger, more raw high schoolers.
"The contract is brought up a lot. What it's going to take to get past it is winning. This organization took on the contract. I'm here to make them look good."~Vernon Wells
yea I agree mostly
I have some hope for Randal but when a scouting report says he struggles to square up the ball in batting practice, regardless of his tools he shouldn’t be drafted in the first round.
Jim Bowden on Tony Reagins.
Style: Authoritative, brilliant baseball mind who works well in the trifecta with owner Arte Moreno and manager Mike Scioscia. Builds teams on pitching and defense up the middle. Active at trade deadlines, will trade prospects and has the resources to acquire All-Stars
yikes
coherent thought fail. The bp quote was about Bolden, not Randal Grichuck as I made it appear.

Mike Trout needs to go into his prime NOW
Imagine him, Pujols, and Morales in the same lineup.
This is a sig.

Yes.
He and Pujols have the combined strength to lift Kmo and run him around the bases.
Tim Salmon + Yankee cap = HOF.
