Archive Fever: Walkin' Down Angels Memory Lame
I can brag now that Five Years Ago Today, I (LINK) was still griping about the Angels acquiring Shea Hillenbrand... and then I had a (LINK) really stupid trade idea that fortunately never happened.
Looking back Four Years Ago Today, I (LINK) was marveling that our pitching duo of Lackey/Escobar got some national recognition.
Looking back Two Years Ago Today, a (LINK) poll was posted asking what should be done with our John Lackey jerseys

Remember when we signed Pujols?
Good times.
Unlike this cat, my love for the LAA will never die.

Milledge
I remember when he was the player every team wanted to pry from the Mets and the Mets held onto him with the same psychotic belief in talent that we showed with Ed Wood.
What I recall is that Milledge showed maturity and discipline problems once promoted to the Mets, was sent up and down a couple of times, and finally traded. For your regrettable trade idea, I am certain the Mets have a list as long as your arm of deals they wish they’d done for Milledge.
