just look for the smell of stale Budweiser stains from the shirts.
Napoli's 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th homers of the year (four more than Jeff Mathis' career total) rained down on Angel Stadium like knives from the ceiling.

lucky homeless
The neighbor is a cranky irish expat. He if wanted no snakes, he shoulda stayed in Ireland.

I can't figure out the bitterness Cardinals fans have towards Pujols.
The guy brings you 2 championships and 3 MVP’s, as well as being huge to the community of St. Louis, and you want to burn his jersey and compare him to LeBron James? Not to mention he played at an enormous discount for years!
Blame your owner and GM for not doing the deal when they had the chance and pretty much daring the guy to leave.

Didn't a whole bunch of people on this board get mad when Texiera and Lackey left for piles of money
on the east coast?
~Till the Halo burns out...
U-Haul because he played with us.
Horseface, because he dissed us.
If the Halos don't care about the way they play, then why should I?
I didn't see any one burn a Lackey jersey
The only destruction witnessed was when Rev destroyed Napoli’s bobble-head after the trade.
Cool
Turning anger into something productive. Works for me.
I reject your reality and substitute my own.
That is wonderful
Cardinal’s fans that hate Pujos are still morons, but this is a great idea.

Didn't Frank McCourt lose all the houses in the divorce and is now living out of a hotel?
Even if it is the Beverly Hill Hotel, that sounds pretty homeless to me. Better give him one of those shirts.
Vernon Wells 2011 Stats (.218/.248/.412) and 2010 road stats (.224/.299/.400). The front office shouldn't have been surprised.
Great idea.
Teach Arte a lesson once and for all by sowing 1000’s upon 1000’s of free ads for the Halos new Mega Star throughout the County of LA.
How can I help?

That feels like uncharitable charity...
Bitter, bitter, bitter.
Such bitterness from small minds
So apparently there are no homeless people in St Louis to give them to?
All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

What difference does it make?
A homeless person in need is a homeless person in need.

Yes, and they all need Pujols jerseys

They need clothes
I seriously doubt the average homeless person gives a **** what it is.

You're right, we shouldn't doubt the obvious altruism of this church
There’s clearly no cynicism at play here
All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

There may be cycnicism from the people giving
But it seems to me like the church is taking advantage of the cynicism to do something generous. I think this is a fantastic idea.

I think it is too
I was originally only pointing out how absurd it is for a nonprofit entity to pay for packing & shipping clothes in the dead of winter from St Louis to Los Angeles as if there were no homeless people back there who might need them more.

Who in the hell said there was no cynicism?
I just think it’s stupid to criticize something that is, in the end, done first and foremost to help needy people. And that we’re talking about it and that it grabbed a headline means it is drawing attention.
Don’t be such a grinch.

For shit's sake CKD, on a Friday night you were still here trying to argue this dreck?

thats really cool i think
good for them. I don’t take it as being bitter at all. The donors, sure, but for whoever is organizing the idea, hey its for a good cause.
Should I give my Mathis g-strings to my local church?
Official prediction: The Angels will win the AL west this season.
Why all this dumping of unwanted clothing on homeless people?
Chances are if you don’t want to wear it nobody else does either. Put it in a dumpster and let them chose what they want.

I'm sure the homeless look through the clothes at the Salvation Army and think
“Ugh. This shirt is so tacky”.

How about
Because handing someone something to wear is 1000x more humane than chucking it in the garbage and yelling “take yer pick.”

The reason it's unwanted isn't because it's trash
It’s because Pujols left town. So why not gather it and give to people where they might appreciate it? I’m a big fan of this.
