John Kruk was on Mike & Mike In the Morning today and said he thought the Angels were the second best team in the AL in his mind- behind the Red Sox.
What does it mean? Not much. Just thought it was interesting.

As long as his kiss of death applies to the Red Sux as well
then I can be content.

If Kruk equals the kiss of death… then what equals the Kiss of Life?

Give that man a beer.
It’ll be his 29th of the day. I love my Halos, but second best in the AL? I’m not that drunk…yet.
The Devil went down to Georgia, and all I got was this gold fiddle. Go Angels! helpfindscottajob@gmail.com
I don't agree, but Kruk isn't crazy
Yankees and Rangers have weak staffs. Rays lost Crawford, and Detroit is never a sure thing, especially with Cabrera’s recent troubles. If he’s expecting bounce back years from most of our lineup then his reasoning isn’t too far off. Right now the Red Sox are the only team I would bet on winning >90 games, and I’d bet the Angels are in that large group that should win 85-90.

Apparently the SportsNation idiots
Asked on a poll Who is the AL team to beat? Yankees or Red Sox…of course, this question came from the same idiot guy who also stated something about “Ah, Toyota, a great American car maker”..
Representing the Angels in Sin City.
Well said.
I wouldn’t go so far as to say what Kruk said, but we are a heck of alot better team this year than we were last year. The good thing is, even factoring in the absolute worst from Wood and Kazmir like what we saw last year, this team should still win 85-90.
If there’s anything I’ve learned after all these years being an Angels fan, it’s that I should never underestimate Mike Scioscia.

I have reason to be hopeful.
2000 – The Mets lost to the Yankees in the World Series, then went on to win 82 games the next season.
2004 – The Cardinals won 105 in 2004 to get the to the World Series and lost to Boston. Next season, they fell 19 wins short of the previous year with 86.
2005 – Houston went to the World Series in 2005 and lost to Boston. Next season, they only won 82 games.
2007 – The Rockies went to the World Series and lost to Boston in 2007, and only won 74 games the next year.
2008 – The Rays lost to the Phillies, and won just 84 games the next season.
History shows that World Series losers have a hard time repeating their success. Hopefully I can add the Rangers to this list about this time next year.

First time he's been right about anything.
Angels win the division with ease this year. 5 games at least.

IF
the Angels starting pitching lives up to expectations, Vernon Wells is able to more or less repeat what he did last year, and Kendry Morales returns to form, then I feel that the Angels will be a lot more competitive than the general public thinks, in which case Kruk may not be that crazy,
BUT,
these are some pretty decent sized “if’s”.

Although,
These predictions don’t accurately assess the likelihood of Kendry returning to form, or Kazmir having just an average season and becoming one of the best No. 5 starters in baseball (that’s ironic), or Wood having just an average season driving in about 70 runs, or the rest of our players returning to their career norms. All of those things are very possible. Whether or not they actually happen, we can only improve from here. We’re predicted to win around 85 even with all those handicapts I just mentioned. Imagine what our season could look like if we can manage to improve on just half of the things I just mentioned.

We will win the West like we always do...
no real news here. Chill out Angels fans. We got this…One season of bad mojo doesn’t kill your vibe. Kruk is right and we know it….

Understandable.
It was pretty unbearable. But you know how it goes. The first time someone goes to first to third you’re gonna smile, then when someone pitches themselves out of a jam you’re gonna yell. Then the three run inning is gonna get you back in your groove. Last year was a typical slip-up. Losing your ace and best TWO sluggers has a way of making that happen. Now we roll….
