Orioles have quietly put together a pretty powerful lineup.

If their pitching surprises, they might just put up a good showing. Oh and the Yankees are going to suck. 3rd or 4th place at best.

I really think their pitching is going to be crap.

They’ll hit, but they’re going to be crying all summer long in NY about that rotation.

It would have been great to see him back in an Angel uniform taking ABs away from Abreu but not for $8 million. I’m not sure what the Orioles are thinking. They aren’t going to contend and Vladdy won’t necessarily put butts in the seats. I wouldn’t be shocked to see him traded to a contender at the deadline.

I hope the Angels have a plan in place to keep Abreu’s option for 2012 from kicking in. Angels with a plan? I just made myself laugh. :-)

Angelos folded like a house of cards

All the word on the street was that Vlad was asking $8mm and they were offering $4.5mm with effectively NO other suitors – and they couldn’t even hit the middle at the $$$ where we let Vlad go, picked up Matsui, and the Rangers picked him up!

It’s not like there is a huge Dominican base in Bal’more!

I really like Baltimore as a team. Right up there with the Rockies for my non-Angel team I root for on occasion

That lineup is going to be fun to watch. Adam Jones, Weiters, Luke Scott and Markakis developing. With a healthy Brian Roberts and Derrick Lee, Mark Reynolds and Vladdy.
If they had a slightly above average rotation, that team could compete for a wild card spot.

In that ballpark, Vladdy is good for 30 homers.

Of course 27 of those will be hit in the first half of the season.
