I guess if his spring perfomance warrants a spot on the big club
Then it helps the ChiSox move towards getting off the enemy list.
But in questions of “how should I feel about rooting for this player?” I’d side with rooting against the White Sox.

HK47!
That’s a good piece of hitting. He will have plenty of those opportunities this year.
Our offense really is troubling, no?
Early ST suggests the obvious:
1. Our pitching is really good.
2. Our defense is average, save for Bourjos and our AA/AAA guys.
3. Our offense is really worrisome.
The subtraction of Napoli really didn’t help. I honestly still don’t get how that made a whit of sense in any universe. We could have had Wells and Napoli no problem if the FO really wanted Wells.
And Mathis will get the starting catcher job out of ST just for showing up.
It is obvious now Conger is out of the running. He is not getting much playing time.

Empathy is one thing
Rooting is another.
I have teams I’d like to see do well when playing others (Brewers, Marlins, Pads, Rays).
But I can’t say I root for them.
"I have something 95 percent of all those All-Stars only wish they had: a World Series ring. If I had to choose between that and being an All-Star, it would be no contest. I’d grab the gold ring and never look back." -Tim Salmon
Funny
thats close to my list. How can you not root for the Brewers? I like the Pirates and used to root for the Expos…once Rays got good I only root for them against MFY and Bos
"We are not on an austerity program," Arte Moreno
I'm willing to root for Scioscia's pedigree
Thus the Rays and Pads make the list.
I have no good reason for the Brew Crew except that they represent the same thing the Angels do. An underappreciated perennial contender who will upset the big dogs every now and then.
"I have something 95 percent of all those All-Stars only wish they had: a World Series ring. If I had to choose between that and being an All-Star, it would be no contest. I’d grab the gold ring and never look back." -Tim Salmon
Right
That’s an important distinction.
Though if a Scioscia mentee went to an AL West team, it’d be weird.
"I have something 95 percent of all those All-Stars only wish they had: a World Series ring. If I had to choose between that and being an All-Star, it would be no contest. I’d grab the gold ring and never look back." -Tim Salmon
Roenicke is the Brewer's manager now
So that aligns with your Scioscia’s pedigree
That's right.

"I have something 95 percent of all those All-Stars only wish they had: a World Series ring. If I had to choose between that and being an All-Star, it would be no contest. I’d grab the gold ring and never look back." -Tim Salmon

I should have said, more accurately, passively root for.
Unlike this cat, my love for the LAA will never die.
Guidelines for Halo NL Team Support:
1) Angels must be eliminated from regular season or post season.
2) Team must not be the Dodgers.
3) #2 is void if it is the World Series and the AL representative is any of the following: Yankees, Red Sox, Rangers, A’s, Mariners.
