Weaver has been an absolute beast out there this year. Check out a list of his career numbers.
2006:ERA=2.56,SO=105 in 123.0 innings (pretty much the best possible start you could have.)
2007:ERA=3.91,SO=115 in161.0 innings (regressed a considerable amount, nevertheless a pretty good year.)
2008:ERA=4.33,SO=152 in 176.2 innings (This is the year that absolutely puzzles me, it just doesn't make sense)
2009:ERA=3.75,SO=174 in 211.0 innings (His comeback to being a dominant pitcher again.)
2010:ERA=3.01,SO=233 in 224.1 innings (Dominant, and if it weren't for his teams lack of run support he probably would have made a run at the CY Young.)
2011 (This Year):ERA=1.23,SO=39 in 36.2 innings (By far the most dominant Jered weaver we have ever seen he's putting up these video game numbers in just five games....OH YEAH....He's 5-0 in those five games as well.)
Seems as though ever since the rough year in 2008 he has really evolved into a great pitcher.
