His beard is (was) a lot like mine, so of course I was all for it. That said, I can’t remember Haren ever looking really clean shaven all last year; I can imagine he’s likely to remain more scruffy than not, unless objected to by his wife/girlfriend/special lady friend (I don’t know his relationship status).

On the other hand, Jordan Walden is looking more Grizzly Adams with each passing day. As long as he doesn’t do the Brian Wilson, shoe polish dye-job I’m fine with it.

You are looking at this wrong.

If he shaves off his beard now, he then has something to grow later in the year potentially. And no, I am not going to say the P-word this early in the season. Too much could potentially happen either way.
