Halo Switch Hitters Throughout the Years

I really enjoy being a member of Halos Heaven. Reading all of the fanposts and comments provide me much relief while dealing with life's ups and downsI have been a member for nearly 5 years, but I rarely post much (especially since the GA being 'lazy' fiasco).

After reading: A Yahoo article on: Baseball Tips: Learning How to Be a Switch Hitter, I thought it would be nice to ask all of the readers to name all of the Angel switch hitters throughout the history of this franchise. Let me put a name out there: Chili Davis!

It may look like a minor flaw, but it could be the first building block to discrediting the rest of the data.

Take for instance the notion that these fancy Baseball Reference “statistics” indicate that Jeff Mathis is a terrible, terrible player…I uh, forgot where I was going with this.

He never came to the plate as an Angel

But for some reason he is listed as a switch hitter in Baseball Reference’s database, so the search result threw him in there.

i didn't even know pitchers could switch hit.

he was on the phillies for a while, so that would have resulted in possible ABs.

Actually, all of his major-league PAs have been left-handed

He’s never come to the plate against a left-handed pitcher. I guess he must have been written down as a switch-hitter at the time he was drafted in 1997, because he’s only batted five times since then.
