Angels Fall to Royals
Not a whole lot to say here except the Angels offense is just embarrassing.

Sosh is through screwing around with this team, he means business this time!
He is going to have a closed door team meeting, skip batting practice AND recall a midget from Salt Lake all before tomorrow night’s game.
All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

We have a very loose definition of the word "playing."

The Halos have had no answer
after blowing up the core of the team in the offseason of 2009.
When I'm not at the stadium, I'd rather be watching my Halos back in Costa Rica!

That was hardly the problem in retrospect
Lackey—now sucks
Figgins—now arguably the worst player on the Mariners, and that’s saying a lot
Vlad—Did OK in Texas but not outside that bandbox and not good outside Camden either
You would have kept all three of those?
Light up that halo! RIP, Nick.
it's not the aspect of keeping those 3
it’s that they weren’t replaced with anything resembling that leadership/presence.
There wasn’t a Vlad in the middle of our lineup. There was no impact player like Figgins. There was no clubhouse leader (though I think he is a dickwad) like Lackey.
And we still haven’t replaced any of these outside of (on the field with Weaver) Lackey.

To the "Dad" in F124, Row F,Seat 8....
…that was quite classy jumping all over your 10 year old for letting the ball tossed to him bounce off his glove when he closed it too quickly. After you got po’ed and left, your son sat there and cried. Several of us agreed to give your son any ball we came up with, but nothing else came our way. Sorry to waste everyone else’s time, but the “dad” never came back for me/us to speak face to face. What a wonderful time this young boy had at the game.
As for as the game, lackluster, no fire, Vernon Wells sucks.
...on the road....
Another "Father of the Year" candidate I see.

I talked to my dad after the game.
He said he apologizes but was a bit buzzed. Ridin’ Dirty show said it was ok to pound the beers on the way to the game as long as you reach the parking lot before you are double the limit.
As a result, he is sorry but takes no responsibility.
#9 #9 #9
9 runs given up
9th time shut out
9 innings in a game
What does it all mean?

Actually if a team forfeits a ML game
The score is recorded as 9-0
I think the GNP would go up...
…if you just hardcode Wells as an option for BotG.
i really can't support this team with my dollar so long as tony reagins is still calling shots.
i watched half of karate kid II instead of this shit fest.
What do you need a fancy suit for, Charlie, you ain't got no job to wear it to.
I've not spend a single $ yet this year on the team...
..not something I’m proud of but I was not as optimistic as some and expected no better (and feared worse) of a product than last year.
Until I see a consistently exciting product on the field (win or lose), I have A LOT else to spend my $ on but can still follow the team.
You almost have to root for these outcomes.....
They get Reagins closer to being shitcanned.
The team will go nowhere under this pompass jackass.
Maybe Reagins will fire Scioscia.

Well let's see...
1) No runs against a pitcher that came in with a 17.47 ERA.
2) Mazzaro had no K’s in 8 innings. Plus he’s from New Jersey.
3) Per Terry Smith, the home plate umpire favors hitters over pitchers (Chatwood would agree).
4) As many hits as GIDP’S
This is the worst offensive team of the Scioscia era. “We’re on the road to nowhere…”

Wrong.
Being on the road to nowhere still implies you are going somewhere (at least via deductive logic).
The unfortunate part is Soth still hasn’t actually found a road yet.
Otherwise, everything else looks good ;)
I think that Soth is still driving straight
but he does realize the road took a sharp left turn a year and a half ago.

Went to my first comedy club, I mean game of the season today. It was a laugher for sure.
this profile pic is for you TR
Is it time for the annual "Fire Hatcher" threads yet?
Just wondering how many years of disappointing offense it takes to actually get this guy fired.
Annual?
If you’ve not noticed here and on other forums, these are now daily threads… I’m convinced for most fans who have given up on this season amounting to much (regardless of how many games we’re out), it would be one of the best in recent memory if Reagins and Hatchet were fired.
In fact, II think MLB Executive of the Year will go to whomever fires both Reagins and Hatchet.
I'm having a hard time even watching the games.
This is how it usually goes…
I turn on the TV. See that the Angels are losing, bad. Then curse in disgust and change the channel. This is becoming regular. This team sucks.
Chick Chicky Boom!
I Demand Reagins is an Option
Every time we lose scoring less than 4 runs Reagins must be an option.
Jeff Mathis = sure fire 1st ballot Hall of Fame inductee
Shut out by a pitcher with an ERA over 17
The suckitude of this team is both a tragedy and a comedy.
CONGER, CONGER, CONGER !!!
The only good thing about yesterday's game
is knowing the 4 Texas Rangers homers in the parking lot, doing their “trying to see every ballpark before we die” tour, lost a collective $1,000 on the game!
"The world is made for people who aren't cursed with self-awareness." - Annie Savoy
How low can they go !
I thought the ultimate was the other night when Tampa Bay reliever J.P.Howell, the relief equivalent of Vin Mazzaro, came in and threw two hanging curves right over the plates – and got Ks on both of them ! But then getting shut down by Mazzaro at home – truly pathetic.
Also, Sciosca can’t figure out why they hit into so many double plays; let me help him out. The Angels senior citizens can no longer consistently square up good pitches; what used to be line drives are now easy ground balls. And of course, since none of these guys can run anymore, turning the DP is easy for any halfway competent infield.
Hope that helps……
