I am so tired of the "JETES GOTZ NUMBA TREE-THOUSUND" crap. I come to HH to avoid this stuff. But what are the three most important baseball stories on SB Nation?

HA.
I just couldn’t believe all the stories were about The Jetes.

'Bug, I'm shocked -- SHOCKED!! -- that a nice girl like you could post something like that!!!
If the Halos don't care about the way they play, then why should I?

It was ignored relative to this
Jeter is the 28th (I’ll really only concede 27th) best player on that list, now, too.
Screw him and his team and the nonstop talk. Nauseating.
A wise man once said "never postpone to tomorrow what can be done the day after tomorrow. Except DFAing Mathis. Do that shit now, plz."

It's changed now
Result from the Futures game is the middle story. The other two remain unchanged….

at the risk of getting punched in the gut
Good for Jetes. It takes a lot of patience and skill to last as long as he has and to get to 3,000 hits.

Takes a long playing career and a bit of luck as well
Incredibly easy to say that 15 seasons and average 200 hits each season will get it done.

True
However I can’t imagine many players still playing or even being offered a contract after their 15th season.

Well, if a player starts at 21...
their 16th season would only make them 36. It’s possible.

And really good players up and down the lineup

I wonder if he played on a shittier team
With less lineup threat, would he be as good?
What If he played in a different division, or pitchers ballparks, maybe, idk.
Turks Teeth you down to break that down? Nahh huh. Too much attention on this foo as is

Might account for some of it, particularly the World Series rings
but I think worst case takes him an extra 1/2 to 1 season to pick up the hits. You can’t fake talent for 16 years.
Just like Tabasco, you can’t fake spicy.
Tabasco?

The fire part looks authentic, except it would be coming out my ass.
All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.
