Angels trade options: Offense or pitching?
If the Angels make a move, will they target their weak offense or bolster their pitching staff?

That would actually meet the Rockies demands, as I have read them.

Actually, I was thinking I just read "proven young talent, including someone ready to go into starting rotation" as far as what the Rockies want.
I just re-read over at MLBTraderumors and it says THREE proven young players, including starting pitcher. So Rev’s idea would probably be close, but no Ubaldo.

CO Doesn't Need More OFs
With CarGo in LF, Blackmon or Fowler in CF, Smith in RF and top prospect Tim Wheeler in AA the Rockies are all set there.
The Rockies need prospects for 2B, 3B and pitching. I would expect they would want Richards/Chatwood/Cowart/Segura + another low level pitching prospect. Something, something like that.

Reckling and Richards for Jiminez?
Reckling and Amarista? Something like that maybe. Don’t get why the Rox would want to trade their best pitcher though. Seems like their trying to assess his market rate.
Unless it is for a 3B that isn't a rental
or a package for a relief pitcher that doesn’t cost one of our top 10 prospects, I say no deal. I would rather keep our prospects and keep a future of Trout, Bourjos, Trumbo, Conger, Chatwood, Richards, etc. than leverage it for a rental or another SP like Ubaldo.

I'm sure we'll trade for something that punches Arte in the wallet
I am in the “stand pat” category this year.
R.I.P. Nick Adenhart - Always an Angel
Since there doesn't seem to be a 3rd baseman available
I’d like to see another RP and SP.
Is David Wright available?
or Granderson either way
