ALS Event Report 7/3
I'm pretty lousy at writing up post-event reports, but I guess I should. During the 7th, we left our seats to go down to the tunnel. I did catch Branyan's HR on the in-stadium TVs (from Howards). After the game, we followed the Legends and celebs out onto the field. To Mayhem, Cupie, and anyone else who was there and may have stayed, we were the second wheelchair to home plate, as seen here:
The Homerun Derby between Timmy and Canseco was won by Canseco (Oh well, you can't have everything). And the Dodger Legends won the softball game (again, you can't have everything). But it was all for a good cause, and it was lots of fun. A couple more pix after the jump.

You and the wife are strong souls.
And I never thought anything would make me like Steve Garvey but this does.
I wish I could've been there today red.
Great pics, but watch Mrs. red floyd, i’m not sure I trust that Steve Garvey. Keep on keepin’ on and best wishes Halo homie. Unlike Rev though, I still don’t like Steve Garvey. ;)
YOU DON'T KNOW THE POWER OF THE DARKSIDE.....
Looks like you guys had a lot of fun.

Thanks for sharing, Red.
You have a beautiful wife and how lucky she is to have such an adoring husband!
That is truly awesome!
To see all those celebrities work for such a cause. To see you put yourself and your family out there for all of us to see. Really wish I had gone to the game yesterday. Good work..
And of course its great that the TVs are from Howards.
Awesome, brother!
Thanks for sharing the pics.
I love this, Red, especially the shot of your wife with Rex.
Thanks for sharing the pictures with us, and I have to add that I admire the two of you immensely.
I realize that Garvey probably looks so much bigger because of the “fish photography trick”, he’s closer to the camera than you two, but dang he must be huge to start with.
THIS… IS… ANAHEIM!!
He is. He's not so tall, but he is in incredible shape...
If the Halos don't care about the way they play, then why should I?
Awesome pics!
Thanks for sharing them with us
All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.
You're welcome.
Weren’t you banned?
If the Halos don't care about the way they play, then why should I?
Timmy was there, but I didn't think to get Mrs. red floyd's camera out in time.
I’m an idiot some times.

The only time I visited the Big "A"
I didn’t start taking pictures until the Big Bang show started, and I was still unsure on how to use the dang thing.
Somethings are meant for memories.
Stay on target, Red
Nice photos and a great experience to boot
Well, come see a fat old man some time!
Dude, I gain strength just seeing the two of you bein' strong together.
Thank you.

A great day for the both of you, Red. Thanks for sharing with us.
(And Canseco never played for the Dodgers OR the Halos. He did, however, sign an off-season deal with the Halos back in 2001 but was released in ST. So, in essence, we had to loan the Dodgers their representation in the HR derby, and the Dodgers chose to take a ’roider. And, once again, Salmon got outshined by a ’roider. Yeah, that sounds about right.)

Canseco did do some awesome stuff in the derby..
He hit a SOFTBALL over the bullpens into the LF pavillion.
If the Halos don't care about the way they play, then why should I?
Awesome Red Floyd!
Keep up the good work and best wishes to both of you
(You guys look great in Halo red, btw)
Thoughts, prayers, and general good vibes go out to you and to Mrs. Red Floyd.
There has been so much progress with healing and diseases involving stem cell therapies. I checked the Wikipedia page on ALS, and it doesn’t appear there is any current research to combat this disease involving stem cells. Are there any therapies (stem cell based or otherwise) that hold any promise for Mrs. Red Floyd?
Regardless of any or all of the above, I hope you remain focused on the same qualities that originally attracted you to her (doesn’t appear there’s any doubt on that point).
Thanks for the prayers.
We’re supposed to hear Monday about a clinical trial out of UC Irvine (just down the street from the Big A).

Oh, the stem cell research is being done out of Cedars, but it's at least 10 years away, if at all.
If the Halos don't care about the way they play, then why should I?
Just got the news!!!!
Mrs. red floyd is in the trial!!!!
If the Halos don't care about the way they play, then why should I?
So happy for you and Mrs Red Floyd. I hope you will have a chance to elaborate on the exact therapy, and any progress.
Spectacular!
