It's the main reason
why beating these skanks makes it tough, you have to overcome the umps.

I'm more than comfortable blaming more than one person.
Izturis is a major leaguer. He booted an easy grounder. Not defending Rodney, but that’s unacceptable.
If Fraudney does better, Izzy is a non-factor.

C'mon Matt
It was a routine grounder. This isn’t Little League. He’d already blown one routine play at second base and got away with it, and he damn near blew another one to end the seventh. Dude’s head isn’t in the game.
How about if we agree to disagree, and just put the blame on Scioscia?
He was the dummy that had both guys in the game anyway.
I've got nothing.
Izzy is a great defender most of the time. Can't really fault Scioscia for that.

The inning got started
With Rodney walking the #9 hitter. Then, after a sacrifice by Gardner, the umps shrank the strike zone and turned two two pitches that should have been strikes into balls, so Jeter walked. Downs came in and got one K and then a routine grounder to Izzy, which Izzy just booted. Then, grand slam. Game over.

How much better would this team be if:
-Fired Hatcher, Hired Salmon as hitting coach
-DFA Mathis, Bring up Conger
-Utilize the lineup not based on proximity to Social Security checks but based on actual production
-Actual management of bullpen, not this useless shit Sosh is doing
-Hire Chuck Norris as bench coach
I brought sexy back, but they only gave me store credit....
The last one alone would guarantee World Series titles for the next 50 years.
Light up that halo! RIP, Nick.

I'm glad the Rangers get to start a series with Oakland
while we play Toronto. I thought they had a hard 2nd half schedule?
Baseball is a funny game...
Someone mentioned that they are a harder schedule
yet they face no team with any type of effective offense the rest of the year.
I brought sexy back, but they only gave me store credit....
Kendrys added an 'S' to his name; Ver-non needs to add an 'e'

We are pinch hitting for Wilson with Branyan????
Why?? He isn’t hitting any better.
In the long run men hit only what they aim at. Therefore, though they should fail immediately, they had better aim at something high.
