This isn't a new idea. I know better than to judge a left handed hitter's performance by an appearance at Yankee Stadium. The Angels offense is in serious need of some thump and Branyan supplies much more of it than Abreu. In a tie or one run game after the sixth inning, the team who can hit one out has a much better chance of winning than the team who needs to manufacture a run against the best arms the opposing bullpen has to offer. Should Branyan pick up some more AB's late in games? Maybe get a start or two when pitchers 4-5 are on the hill?
