Me: "I used to throw a splitter too, that pitch kills your hand, huh?"
Dan: (yelling to the small crowd) "Do not throw splitters guys! They hurt like hell"
I thanked him and he went on his way. Some side notes on my trip to both NY stadiums: At the game, I saw alot of people in Mathis jerseys… FACEPALM.. Citi was amazing, and it didn’t hurt that my aunt got me seats in the 4th row behind home because she works for ABC.. Finally, Blame Mathis for Richards poor start. According to Yankees Stadium, the first 31 pitches were fastballs. Mathis then followed with that genius strategy, calling 9 consecutive sliders after that… Aargh
