The baseball gods agree: Sit Wells and Mathis already
I wrote this last night on a sugar-fueled hate binge. Lady opportunity beckons the Angels, but they refuse to budge.

You write well when your glycemic index is on the high side.
Couldn’t agree more.
A wise man does not need advice and a fool won't take it.
And someone commented that they had never seen two people struggle like that before
I’m going to go out on a limb and give what I think is a good definition of “struggle” in terms of baseball. Struggle – 15 to 20 games of 145 games plus where it just seems you can’t get it done like you NORMALLY do.
Just plain Suck – 145 plus games (5 years in Mathis case) where you very rarely do anything even a minor leaguer has the ability to do, and when you do actually make a good play it is completely meaningless towards the outcome of any game.
Which category would you place Vernone and Premium?
CONGER, CONGER, CONGER !!!
To struggle a player has had to have some element of success
Mathis has never had success at the major league level, so what we are witnessing is a normal year for him. This is as good as it gets.
hey, to be fair, he is hitting about 14 points below his career norm.
It is a down season for him. But put a smile back on your face because he is sure to rebound next year.

Well done and completely right
It’s amazing how much better the mood in the stands is on nights Jeffy doesn’t play (no matter who catches) and nights Trout plays (specially in left). It’s like 40,000 get what Sosh doesn’t and that is distressing.
