This tidbit is in the middle of the "Around the Majors" section. I know the deadline part is old news, but this is the first I've heard of a "take it or we'll trade you" ultimatum. My first reaction is that this shows the Angels know they can't work with Boras to sign a free agent. I'm glad Weaver took the deal.
