Cards To Visit White House Next Week

Cardinals to get White House honor Associated Press ST. LOUIS -- The World Series champion St. Louis Cardinals will be honored by President Barack Obama at the White House on Jan. 17. Prior to the event, the team is scheduled to visit wounded soldiers at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The Cardinals clinched the NL wild-card spot on the final day of the season and then upset the Phillies, Brewers and Rangers to win their second title in five years. Copyright 2012 by The Associated Press Should be an interesting time for Pujols to go back and see his former teammates all together for the first time since he left for the West Coast. Will probably be the second to last time, with his last time back with all them when they get their rings (I'd imagine).
