Angels 5-Year Forecast (Updated)
Here is an updated version of the Halos' 5-year forecast. It's basically the same info you would find at Cot's Baseball Contracts, but broken down by position and color-coded.
Green - Player is under full-team control
Gray - Arbitration Year
Yellow - Under Major League contract
Italics - Option Year where green is a club option, gray is mutual, and yellow is player.
I used my best judgment for prospect ETAs. If I'm missing a notable player, or I'm off-base on a particular player, let me know so I can make the adjustments.

Kendrick's contract gets expensive after this year.
I wonder how things will turn out when free agency comes around again.
You’ve got all of Amarista, Segura, Luis Jiminez, CRamirez, Trout, and Jeremy Moore beginning their major league careers in 2013. I guess you don’t have any choice, but don’t we all know that Trout’s gonna be with US in 2012?
Pretty much a craps shoot..
I figure Amarista steps into Izturis’ role.
Segura could be our every day SS depending on his development/Aybar’s contract status.
Jimenez is a question mark to me.
Ramirez can probably be pushed back.
Moore as 4th OF if Hunter isn’t back?
I figure Trout will be up in ‘12 but I’m not sure how much service time he will rack up.
Chris Pettit's not on the 40-man roster any more.
Last year’s stats don’t look good for his imminent return.
Did he go through waivers?
Is he on a DL?
You can’t just take somebody off the 40-man. I missed what happened here.

I added the sums for every year
But keep in mind those numbers don’t include anything for arbitration eligible players. You’ll have to do your own math in that sense.
I think Iannetta had better be VERY good in 2012 for him to be re-uped @$5MM in 2013.
That’s Aybar and Howie (and Napoli) territory.
Conger and Wilson make much more sense to me. Catcher could become that weak/inexpensive offensive link that can be “absorbed” by a more potent offense, if we’re hitting on all the other cylinders…..specifically, left field.
I think that some sanity regarding the budget has GOT to reveal itself eventually.
I agree that Ianetta better be a damn good catcher to get $5MM,
but are you really trying to say that Mathis would be ok if there was more offensive support?

With the new CBA the league minimum is now $480,000
And will gradually move up to $500,000
CJ Wilson is OUR douche now!
Got a big matchup coming in the brackets
This is some good work.
