I'll always remember his 63-game on-base streak in 2006
Slick fielder, clutch hitter, and bridge between Spanish and English speaking players.
I hope to see him manage in the Big Leagues one day

No problem.
Unless things have changed from my last search, OCab owns 30% of Bench.
Thanks for the memories, OCab. Good on you!
OC had the most baseball smarts I've ever seen in a player.
Thanks OC. You’ll be missed.
If the Halos don't care about the way they play, then why should I?

Cabrera raved about Scioscia
as a WHITE SOX player …WITH Guillen in the room. Called Scioscia the smartest manager he had ever played for.

He almost inspires me to tuck my shirt in at work
just so I can instantly untuck it the second the clock turns to 5.

I've done this while leaving the City Hall before...never fails to make me think of Vlad and OC
…and I chuckle to myself each time!
Favorite O-Cab moment
might have been his straight steal of home against the Dodgers’ Chad Billingsley in ’06.

1st thing I think of too...
Such an amazing moment, & I watched it live. Then I went home & replayed it like 50 times. Vlad backing out of the box, Billingsley winding up & not even throwing the pitch because he was like, “WTF!?”

O.C. is a family favorite here.
The Halos should offer him a job on the bench, until a spot on the staff opens up.

agree there, apparently he was a leader in the Angels clubhouse and bridged the gap between cultures
In my mind, he was a very good shortstop. His prime was his days with the Expos but he contributed greatly to the Angels. Definitely one of my 10-15 favorite Angels of all time despite his relatively short stay in Anaheim. Good luck OC and I hope the Angels are smart enough to hire you as a coach.
