What do you say we give them some suggestions? I'm thinking The Texas Bushes. How about, The Houston Gulf Wars?

In keeping with the space theme and Rock Island Line's suggestions, how 'bout the Houston Imperials?

They could wear storm trooper helmets to the plate and Vader could be their mascot. Sell the stadium naming rights to Lucas; I’m sure he’d jump on it.

In all seriousness (and as a self-admitted geek), I hope they don’t change it. Astros is a cool name that pays homage to Houston’s history and one of man’s greatest accomplishments. It’s bad enough Houston isn’t even going to get one of the surviving space shuttles. At least let them keep “Astros” as their home team’s name.
