I dont know the details regarding the health of madson and soria but they both had an injury this season. I know they are already signed with the angels and rangers respectively, but I was wondering why the angels opted for madson rather than soria. Soria is a proven closer in the AL. The deal he had with the rangers is $8m/2yrs with a club option for the 3rd year, it may be longer but it is still cheaper in aav than madson and if he proves that he is healthy again, soria will be a bargain.
