Oh, Happy President's Day! I haven't seen it posted anywhere else, but i read on ESPN Desportes a few days ago that Albert is reporting one week early. That puts him reporting along with pitchers/catchers Feb 19th, I believe. I should be there that first morning to photograph Day 1 as usual.

On a tangent, in my quest to brush up on my Spanish, I've found a couple of things of interest. First with ESPN Desportes, columns that are behind the pay wall on the English sight will show up a day or two later to read on the Spanish site without shelling out any coin. Google Translator is your friend if there is anything Buster has to say you might be interested in, like recently he opined on who was the better signing, Prince or Pujols. (duh). There is also a good series on best Caribbean teams of all time.

Also, I've picked up the Dominican channel on DirectTV to watch the Dominican Winter League - turns out you actually need an add-on to your dish to get a different satellite - they gave it to me for $20, plus its $7.99/month for the package that gives you that channel. I was able to catch a number of games. No Halos saw much action besides Aybar, but he did pretty well from what I saw. Live baseball was cool to see and a break from the hot stove chatter on MLBTV.

The Caribbean Series starts tomorrow and it'll be fun to catch what i can too.

Live beisbol is cool, but to get back on point, Albert Pujols walking on the field in an Angel uniform for the first time in a couple of weeks in Tempe will be incredible.
