Spring Training guide?
We are heading down from Las Vegas for a Spring Training weekend in Tempe in a couple of weeks. As a first-timer to spring training in Tempe, does anyone have any good tips/advice to share? We were only able to find grass seating for one game, but got some good looking seats for the other. We will have two children with us, so any tips for them to possibly get autographs would be great. Much appreciated.

You'll have a blast
The Angels’ complex has the actual stadium you will watch the game at and then some practice fields down below on your way in. If you get there a few hours before the game down by the practice fields you will have a shot at autographs.
You can also get into the stadium itself early and head down to the first baseline where the Angels will be and as they come in some of the nicer guys will sign.
As for Tempe itself, there’s a lot of great food and Scottsdale has a pretty fun scene as well about 10 minutes away.

Awesome info
Thanks for the link. We are definitely looking forward to the weekend down there. I have heard that parking can be an issue, plus we want to grab a good spot on the grass for the first game, but it sounds like arriving early won’t leave us with nothing to see or do. Can’t wait!
Have the kids head down the first base line until the bleachers stop
That is where the Angels enter and leave the clubhouse. More players will walk by there than any place else. Last year alone I got half the bullpen and Bobby Abreu.
One of my favorite things about Spring Training is checking out other ballparks and fan bases. Maryvale is a hidden gem, Scottsdale is nice….actually it’s hard to go wrong during Spring Training.
Mexican food in Arizona kicks ass
I look forward to the burritos almost as much as the games
