This is a very good read. It touches on various points, including a take from a scout believing Trumbo "...will play a passable third base.", Callaspo and Trumbo had nearly the same wOBA and Callaspo created more runs than Trumbo in fewer plate appearances. It also ends brilliantly with: "Mike Scioscia has understandably taken a lot of grief over past miscues such as the Mike Napoli-Jeff Mathis situation. However, if Callaspo is going to get the third base job because he is "Scioscia`s kind of player," then Scioscia should be commended for having his kind of player being simply better in this case."
