The only thing VW did differently last year than the year before, besides inflate his stats by playing half his games in Toronto, is buy into the Scioscia/Hatcher philosophy that a walk is as good as an out. 2011: .218/.248/.412. 2010(road stats): .224/.299/.400.

I still hope King Fish will take over color commentary soon.
He does a good job on the few post game shows he does and the spring training games. And there is no one they could get that is more beloved by angels fans. That’s assuming that he doesn’t move in to coaching or something like that.

Rex worked HARD trying to make his Angels radio show SOMETHING.
He got a lot of his former baseball collegues to try to help by making themselves available for interviews on his show…..Impressive! Sometimes it was painful for me, understanding how hard he was trying to make it work.
I hope Rex gets the TV job in KC. As much as I wish he were our guy, I hope he gets the TV job in KC.

Good for Hud. I hope he gets it too. I will start watching more Royals games on MLB extra innings if he does.
The Angels Radio and TV broadcasts just haven’t been the same since they let Hud go and we lost Rory. (Although I do like Terry Smith)
