Worse in Real Life!
Hard to believe, but the Marlins appear to have outdone the expectations for pure awful with their home run show.

I think it is awesome
If you have ever been to Miami you will understand it – the locals will go crazy for it. It is like the rocks in our CF – opponent fans love to mock them, we kinda just accept it and when the fireworks shoot out of it after a HR or a victory it is all part of the experience.
I cant wait to see the whole stadium to get it all in perspective
I wonder if that awful green wall is staying that color?

Its hard to believe how massive that thing is
They might as well have just put in a giant pachinko machine in CF.

That's exactly what I have been saying since this thing was first announced.
It’s a giant pachinko machine. And with fresh seafood all over it. The Japanese will love this thing.
Dear Texas: "One, two...........THREE!" The next number IS THREE!!!
Damn, I came into this thread to mention Pachinko.
Not an original idea, i guess. ;)
I love this team.

The "Tony Montana" experience would have been better.....

"When my mother was pregnant with me, they did an ultrasound and found she was having twins. When they did another ultrasound a few weeks later, they discovered that I had adsorbed the other fetus. Do I regret this? No, I believe his tissue has made me stronger. I now have the strength of a grown man and a little baby."

I feel pretty strongly the 2016 Marlins won't look much like the 2012 Marlins
Everything about their new brand is just lame
RIP Nick Adenhart
So do the fish rotate around the thingy?
kinda like a cookoo clock?
When I flip a coin I dont say heads or tails, I say Halos or Spurs
Yep, they are supposed to
I can’t wait to see this horrible thing in action.
a couple years back when disneyland had just renovated its a small world we went on it the day it reopened. The spinning ballerina in that first room had her head fall off. her blonde braides hanging off the edge of the platform from her detached head while her body twisted and spun, it was quite a sight. Thats what I’m hoping for from this. Some horrible sight that is just amazing to see.

I don't understand MLB signing off on their new image.
The hunter orange hats and this batters’ distraction directly adjacent to the batters’ eye? Didn’t they outlaw loose metalic jewelry because it was too much of a distraction?

I absolutely love this
for the sheer monstrosity of it! I used to live in Florida and I hated every minute of it. I take great pleasure in its gaudiness!
I meant the OTHER Howard!
At first I thought it was a hideous monstosity
But seeing this latest picture, I actually think its not so bad. Maybe I’ve seen it enough that it’s starting to grow on me, but I think when the whole stadium is complete it will all actually look good. I mean in the context of Miami of course, anywhere else it would be a complete disaster.
Gimmick-wise
It seems on par with a rock pile shaped like an A.
Both are spectacles without being spectacular.
Casa Bonita!!! Yay!!!!!!
The only thing VW did differently last year than the year before, besides inflate his stats by playing half his games in Toronto, is buy into the Scioscia/Hatcher philosophy that a walk is as good as an out. 2011: .218/.248/.412. 2010(road stats): .224/.299/.400.
On a business trip to Denver a few years back....
My boss and I, and one other guy were huge South Park fans. So my boss and I called him (he was back in L.A.) to say in our best Cartman voice… “We’re going to Casa Bonita! We’re going to Casa Bonita!”
His response? “Screw you guys, I’m going home!”
If the Halos don't care about the way they play, then why should I?
