Angel pitcher profiles as the next Pineda?
Interesting FanGraphs article comparing Pineda's 2010 minor league stats with the stats of last year's minor leaguers.

Ha! I wish
Richards may throw hard like Pineda but Pineda has the secondary stuff to back it up. Ricahrds looks like a solid 3 starter
Kendrys wins 2012 AL Comeback Player of the year
I agree Richards' secondary stuff doesn't add up to Pineda's...yet.
His slider is nice, though, and he’s got good movement.
A solid 3 is a great prediction and most likely right…for both Richards and Pineda.

I'm confused
as to why Richards doesn’t/didn’t throw his curve last year.
I heard it was really good, but he never used it.
What we've got here is a failure to communicate.

I thought I remember him throwing it in his first start against the Yanks.
I could be wrong, though. If he didn’t, I’m guessing it was Butcher just telling him to concentrate on his more plus pitches.

How does having a solid half of a season, tanking and then getting traded to the Yankees
Something we want?

I was trying to make a joke
I guess I failed. As the saying goes, “try, try again”
