Philip Humber of White Sox throws a Perfect Game

Philip Humber accomplished the feat with only 96 pitches. He threw 67 strikes and just 29 balls while striking out nine as the White Sox beat the Seattle Mariners 4-0.

Perhaps lost in the excitement here is the fact that the final out of the game was clearly a bad call. Pinch-hitter Brendan Ryan was rung up on strike three on a full-count pitch when replays showed that he clearly had checked his swing.

Despite this fact, Humber was simply dominant. I have always wondered about the home fans when a visiting pitcher throws a perfect game against them. Are they stoked that they got to witness such a rare event, or are they simply bummed that it happened against their team?
