Last April 11, I had the chance to swing through Williamsport, Maryland to pay a visit to Nick Adenhart's resting place.
Only an hour from Washington, D.C., the Greenlawn Cemetery is a green and welcoming place.
Ever since Nick was taken from us, I have felt compelled to visit him.

His tombstone is quite unique in this cemetery, a small baseball-card sized photograph sits at the apex of the diamond; the stone has a tear-inducing inscription:
"His life, a daring adventure.
A free spirit in the presence of fate
with unwavering perseverance and faith.
Living his dream inspired and determined.
He is alive in our hearts forever
until we meet again..."

If you have the chance to visit, the grave is down the hill slightly from the parking area next to the pet clinic on site ... when you are facing the grave, you look directly toward Interstate 81 (seen in the background of my two grave photos).
