I posted this on the post game thread but it's mostly a dead thread now, and rightfully so I might add, so I thought I'd pose the question here instead. Let's say Pujols just continues to defy the law of averages and continues to produce these incredibly horrid numbers for the rest of the year. Arte then becomes very concerned and hires a few investigators to try and find out if the rumors that he is 5 years or so older are true, and they discover that he in fact is. Would this give the Angels any legal standing to terminate his contract? I understand this scenario is terribly unlikely to happen, but you know I need some hope to hold on to. This contract might officially sink our team if this keeps up.
