Final Result: Angels 6, Texas 13.

The early game started so nicely... A lead off double only scored due to a sac fly and could've caused much more damage. And then the next inning Mark Trumbo was able to show why he's here by belting a 2 run homer.

Then everything fell apart in the 3rd. Hits went everywhere, and Nelson Cruz manages to hit a grand slam to pull the Rangers ahead again. The 4th didn't go any better, and Jered Weaver was pulled from the game then and there. Up to today, he had only given up 9 ER... this game, 8.

And what a surprise! The bullpen couldn't keep the wound from bleeding further. 5 more earned runs came out of the bullpen and Texas ballooned to scoring 13 runs. The Angels had a great opportunity in the 7th, and managed to cash in with 3 runs... but left the bases loaded, quelling the chance of a soul-crushing come-from-behind win. (Oh, one can dream right?). The runs were promptly wiped away and any lingering hopes were just washed away...

What positives can we take out of this game? Mark Trumbo going 3/4 with two RBIs and a walk might be it. Mike Trout did respectably well by going 2/4 with a walk. Mm... well, if anyone can think of anything else postive from this game, that's be great.
